I reached out to Karen with the expectation that she could help me overcome my yo-yo dieting routine and change my attitude towards food (and part ways with the concept of dieting). My genetic inheritance is somewhat less favorable and despite some serious efforts, I have been overweight my entire life. As part of these 6 sessions, Karen took into consideration my health history, my lifestyle and my eating habits (and my goals) and suggested some changes to my diet in a gradual manner. The coaching with Karen has changed me and my habits for the better. It was not restrictive, and it taught me things that will stay with me forever. I felt the sessions weren't looked at from just the "food" perspective but from a whole life perspective. I’ve learned just tons with Karen and feel like my thoughts about food have evolved so much. Thanks to the way Karen approached things she mentioned it has changed how I shop for food or make food choices. I learned how to avoid some of the hidden traps that were preventing me from losing weight.

"Suite à plusieurs échecs de FIV et une fausse couche, je fut orienté vers le docteur Karen Dente afin de revoir ma nutrition et la façon de m’alimenter. J’ai donc suivi ses conseils pendant trois mois.
J'avais aussi un gros problème de transit.

Dès les premiers jours, j’ ai commencé à me sentir plus légère sans ventre gonflé, ma peau est devenue plus belle et mon problème de transit s’est résolu. J’ai perdu quelques kilos, mes brûlures d’éstomac se sont arrêtées, mon sommeil s’est beacoup amélioré, et j’ai arreté les cigarettes et le café.

"Après plusieurs échecs de FIV, mon gynécologue m'a orientée vers Dr Dente afin de rechercher éventuellement d’autres pistes face à ces échecs. J'ai donc rencontrée Dr Dente.
Au début, ça a été très difficile car il faut vraiment changer toutes ses habitudes alimentaires mais avec sa patience, ses conseils ainsi que ses recettes et adresses pour nous aider dans la mise en pratique de ces nouvelles résolutions et un test d’intolérances alimentaires en plus, mon mari et moi avons adopter ses recommandations.
Les changements physiologiques ont été immédiats : ventre moins gonflé, moins de maux de ventre et de sensation de ballonnement (mais également perte de poids pour mon mari et moi, même si nous n’en avions pas vraiment besoin).
Dr Dente est une personne extrêmement bienveillante et positive. Elle sait s’adapter à la personne sans rester sur des principes ou conseils généraux qui restent en général que des concepts. Après 2 échecs de FIV, mon médecin m'a orientée vers le Dr Dente afin d'améliorer ma qualité ovocytaire. En effet, malgré de nombreux ovocytes après chaque FIV, nous obtenions qu'un seul embryon à transférer. L'objectif était donc d'obtenir une meilleure qualité pour avoir plus d'embryons et augmenter les chances de réussite pour la FIV 3. J'ai donc rencontré le Dr Dente. Au début ça a été très difficile car il faut vraiment changer toutes ses habitudes alimentaires mais le Dr Dente est très patiente, positive, donne beaucoup de conseils et sait s'adapter. Grâce à elle j'ai perdu du poids, pris de bonnes habitudes alimentaires, régler mes cycles et surtout j'ai atteint l'objectif: 3 embryons sur la FIV3. Même si c'est encore un négatif, je sais que j'ai deux embryons qui attendent d être transférés et ça change tout.
Alors un grand merci au Dr Dente!!! Et même si le programme vous paraît difficile, il faut s'accrocher car avec le temps on y prend goût et on se sent vraiment en meilleure forme!

J'ai consulté le docteur Dente sur les conseils de mon gynécologue qui me suit pour cause d'infertilité issue d'une cryptozoospermie de mon compagnon.
Nous avons eu un enfant en 2013 suite à une FIV ICSI, et tentons depuis juillet 2014 d'avoir un second enfant sans succès après 5 replacements d'embryons et 2 fiv dont les résultats ont été médiocres (aucune survie d'embryons à la dernière FIV malgré de nombreux ovocytes ponctionnés).
Les entretiens que nous avons eu avec le docteur Dente nous ont permis de prendre conscience de l'importance d'une alimentation saine et réellement choisie dans la vie quotidienne et en particulier pour améliorer la fertilité...Elle nous a donné beaucoup de conseils dans nos choix alimentaires et notre hygiène de vie, adaptés à nos besoins.

Crowding Out

Many nutrition experts give their clients a list of foods to avoid and foods to eat, which explains why so many people are turned off by nutrition. My approach is different – by eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods. Simply put, you will “crowd out” the unhealthy food in your diet. This takes a little practice to make happen, but I will support you all the way.

 

Deconstructing Cravings

Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.
